smallberries Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Just thought I'd throw this out, I lost my internet for about 24 hours ending this evening thanks to a strong windstorm, I guess somewhere nearby a hub lost its power. Anyways, no internet, what's a fellow to do? A sign of the times, DCS is the only game I have which has an offline mode (except for Escape From Tarkov which requires you to get online before you can go offline :P), so I thought I'd do some flying. Unfortunately, when I fired it up and cancelled the logon, a pop-up occured which said the authentication for all my campaigns, or at least 12 of them which is probably all of them, had just expired. I confirmed that they were unavailable in game. My last log-on was probably only 1 day previous. So, just thought I'd pass along that the DRM for the campaigns isn't giving any kind of grace period in case you decide to, or must, play offline. As far as I could tell all my modules maintained their accessibility. I recall Wags, I think, but someone confirming that the DRM would probably persist for a couple weeks or so, so that logging on everytime wouldn't be a requirement for precisely this reason, so I figured I'd mention there appears to be an oversight when it comes to the campaigns' DRM.
Johnny_Rico Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 It is a shame about these imposed limitations on campaigns with DRM It is suppsed to give you 3 days grace is it not ? It could be putting people off buying them METAR weather for DCS World missions Guide to help out new DCS MOOSE Users -> HERE Havoc Company Dedicated server info Connect IP: 94.23.215.203 SRS enabled - freqs - Main = 243, A2A = 244, A2G = 245 Please contact me HERE if you have any server feedback or METAR issues/requests
