Does EWR send radio messages, like how an AWACS does?

I have a mission built where the red team has an EWR and blue team has AWACS.

 

And when I'm on the red team, I'm still getting AWACS messages about enemy locations.

 

Is it the EWR doing that or is AWACS messaging both sides? I'm confused.

Ground-based actors like EWR will provide GCI services which are identical to AWACS services.

The last time I checked only the red coalition could use EWR for GCI. Both coalition's could use AWACS.
