Questions on csar

I’m new to the fighting side of dcs a little longer on the flying side.

 

Question to night I did something new since it was available I used voice attack since I got it. Sort of working. I spawned a CSAR mission in the huey. That generates the next two questions.

 

1) I’m flying about start hearing some thuds and booms, then see white streaks it takes a whaling and I wasn’t able to comfort this but I suspect I was being fired on by some automatic fire,was I correct in the assumption?

 

2) the one mission I did before the ADF signal was located where the crew was fly over crew fly over signal and the ADF needle spins around. On this mission I flew several miles past downed pilot I asked for flare never saw it asked for second so I kept going the after a while I asked again for flare got message no pilot within range per se. turn around to fly home it was dark and I wasn’t setup for it. Got to about previous area and get message from pilot as for flare barely see it but I did the saw dark smoke in the dark .

 

Tried to land in dark got vrs and just about recovered and rotor flipped airframe and we crashed. But in CSAR spawned missions does the ADF point you in the correct direction but past the ac so you must get message from them when your in the area and forget about the nba beacon flipping around when you fly. Overac?
