Hallo!!

I am currently setting up a "dedicated" server for our squadron.

I changed the graphics to very low, deleted sound folder and so on...

The LO installation on this server is of course new, without any mods, just patch 1.12a.

But I have got one problem which i just cannot solve:

When I, or someone other try to join this server, everythink is fine.

We can even chat together in Lock On.

But when game starts, everyone gets "Wating for server" (TCP & UDP Ports are forwarded, I even tried to disable firewall completly...)

What I also tried was to configure my router as bridge. So I connected the server to the internet, but the problem was still there...

But I tried to join this server over local network, and this worked...

I did not get this "Waiting for server" Indication...

I don't know what to do, because I do not even know, whether this is a hardware (router) or a software (Lock On) problem.

I have no firewall at all, just nod32 as anti-virus programm.

My router is a Thomson Speedtouch 516iV6 (lates firmware).

Has anyone had this problem before?

Can anyone help me?

I solved the problem, just tried a different port, maybe 10308UDP is blocked by provider...

Just another question:

What can I do beside setting graphics to very low, to increase server performance and avoid lagging?

If you are brave enough you can delete all meshes, effects and textures, except those used by GUI (the game will crash otherwise). Or remove/rename their folders.

I did that and tested a bit, it's still possible to host the game.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
