We were mentally folding wings and deploying tail hooks

 

Systems were tweeked,extra RAM had been bought

In hopes of having achieved 90 FPS that we sought

 

As the time draws closer, F5 buttons were punched

The DCS Pilots were praticing for a flawless catapult launch

 

Watching Cold Start Videos,and AoA high pitch stall

We knew soon our dream would come true,And We Would be calling "Hornet Ball"

 

As Igor looked down from Heavens above

I hope he is smiling to see his vision created such aviation love

 

As I dream of lining up on catapult four

my bit failures checked and my after burner comes to a roar

 

I will launch from the Stennis at day's first light
