AlienXE9kGT Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hi,there, happy new year.^_^ 1. My PC: AMDX2 3800+(nonOC) DDR667 1Gx2 1950GT 256MB nForce570SLi I set 4xAA+4xAF for LockOn and set all settings to High.I can have 80fps when camera looking up to sky but fps drops to 15 when over big citys or looking at the horizon(fly low or on the ground). How can I optimize the LO config file to gain a steady fps (I hope over 60)? 2. Does the 8800 series graphy card get rid of the famous "Full Shadow" problem in LO?If it does,I will buy a 8800GTS.^_^ 3. I really like ArmA,is there anywhere that i can download wmv format movies, jump into discussions, play with others, etc?:P And I wonder how to enable AA in ArmA? Thank you all!^_^

If you find a way- you be sure to let us know too. Seriously- there are so many things that affect FPS you could type all night and not cover them all. Lose heat blur. It's pointless other than movies & screenshots. Water & mirrors are big frame hits- try different levels and find the optimal level for you. Mission size, level of AI activity, even the location on the map can swing frames up or down significantly. it goes on and on... VMFA-Blaze Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hi,there, happy new year.^_^ Does the 8800 series graphy card get rid of the famous "Full Shadow" problem in LO?If it does,I will buy a 8800GTS.^_^ Thank you all!^_^ I'm actually running the 8800 GTS, and it doesn't eliminate the Full Shadow problem unfortunately, I'm running it in All planner with everything else on maximum... And it rocks.. But the all FPS issues are primarily CPU oriented.. I mean I'm running a intel e6600.. And my FPS are decent.. But if you expect great FPS all of the time there's still no hardware available that can give you this.. as long as the game is playable and runs smoothly, that's all you can ask for.... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
