My current joystick ...

... has an additional button, BTN14 in DCS ingame, which can probably be normally used but it's meant to work with the profiler software as a "SHIFT" key. That's more meant for mapping joystick buttons to keyboard controls, which isn't necessary when the game supports the joystick pretty much fully.

 

So DCS might support it as a "modifier" key too, if possible.

 

 

But maybe I should start looking for a better joystick later on ... but such a thing may still help other joysticks with such buttons, unless the professional ones have these things solved already (internal logic which would send a different signal of a button that doesn't really exist but only as a combination of existing ones), but I don't know about those.

 

PS: Speaking about Joysticks, this one has dual-throttle, while I've seen many professional ones have only one throttle, I don't think I can get back to single throttle ever again.

Oops... nevermind I guess I never figured out before that new modifiers can be added by anyone in the GUI! Oh
