Unbelievable sound

I was just playing around with trying to make a video for a buddy of mine who is interested in DCS and I stumbled across this view <F9> and managed to get an OK flyby while 'VR-ing' from near the LSO platform... Anyway, when I played it back I was blown away by the sound...ridiculous

I love standing on the LSO platform during flight ops. Just mind blowing. Hard to describe for someone that doesn’t have VR.....

For some reason I can't record sound when in VR since 4 or 5 updates ago... might be a silly, simple reason for that, just didn't have time to investigate:(

I love the sound of the F18, I hear it every few weeks near my house when the Swiss F18's fly low, same sound, just lasts a bit longer as it's not quite as fast.

 

My wife often says she saw jets when I'm at work, I gave up asking if it's a twin tail twin engine, or a single tail (Tiger), I now just ask her what it sounded like and then I know!
