Yes this can be done by editing the pilot.xml file - this was how the "stock" pilot entries were made. Most of them are of the highest rank, but if you look at their associated mission logs you can see that they don't have anyway near the necessary number of succesful missions to achieve this rank. In fact it is possible to add additional higher ranks to the system by editing another xml file(Countries.xml), but that involves a little more work :) . JJ
