Trying to do a cruise missile attack from sea against a land target. How do I do this? I want to launch multiple missiles against several targets a minute in to the mission I created. Or several missiles against a single target.

Thx - 'Smoke

I've achieved this using Ticonderoga-class cruisers ("CG-60 Normandy" ship in DCS).

It fires tomahawks at ground targets.

Using ME functionalities, you should be able to set up a "fireatpoint" task for the ships, then define the kind of weapon to be used and the amount of ammo (missiles) to spend.

Alternatively, you could use an "attackgroup" task, I guess.

I did it via MOOSE script myself, but in the end it's the same kind of thing.

Thx for this. Follow-up - missile flies but I 'added' three "fire at point"s...but only one missile goes. And regarding the amount of missiles....is that like three per salvo or three individual shots?

What do you want to achieve exactly?

3 missiles per "Fire at Point"?

For this, you'll need to check "ROUNDS EXPEND" checkbox and then select 3.

You can do this multiple times by simply cloning the task. Keep in mind, though, that the cruiser will perform just one task at a time, not all of them at once.

Also, the missile rate of fire isn't that high, it takes time for the 3 missiles to be fired.

Remember that you can also use an "Attack Group" task for this. If you do, the cruiser will keep attacking the target until it's destroyed.
