Frequent Single and Multi-Player Crashes

I've been struggling to play for some time now as DCS will crash on me without any obvious pattern related to play duration/map/vehicle etc. Very frustrating to say the least. The error is always an access violation, "C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at D9C527B0 00:00000000".
