Trident Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Hi, I just wanted to ask a few questions about the upcoming add-on: - With the Su-25T having proper anti-radar capability, will it be possible to correctly engage ship radars with anti-radiation missiles as in Flanker2.03a? - Will the improved avionics for the Russian fighters include the ability to engage 2 targets simultaneously with R-77 in the MiG-29S (9.13S)? Will the MFD symbology be more realistic? - Will all that debris (wings etc.) created by the new aircraft explosions actually damage you if you collide with it? - Will the improved ground procedures that Shepski talked about a while ago be implemented (you know, electrical systems power-up etc., see also the power-switch key-listing in LOMAC)? Talking of ground operations, will we get a parking brake? A rather useless feature, I know, but parking my aircraft and leaving it just like that always makes me feel uneasy ;) Thanks in advance!

Yes. SU-25T has a capability to use anti-radiation missiles Kh-25MPU and Kh-58 against SAM and ship-borne radars. - Will the improved avionics for the Russian fighters include the ability to engage 2 targets simultaneously with R-77 in the MiG-29S (9.13S)? Will the MFD symbology be more realistic? Not yet. Probably in the following patch such capability will have MiG-29S. - Will all that debris (wings etc.) created by the new aircraft explosions actually damage you if you collide with it? Such capability for collision exists only for the main debris (fuselage). More small-sized pieces are not modelled. - Will the improved ground procedures that Shepski talked about a while ago be implemented (you know, electrical systems power-up etc., see also the power-switch key-listing in LOMAC)? Talking of ground operations, will we get a parking brake? A rather useless feature, I know, but parking my aircraft and leaving it just like that always makes me feel uneasy ;) Yes. For start-up engine and an avionics of Su-25T now it is necessary to switch power on. The parking brake is not implemented. SU-25T has a capability to use anti-radiation missiles Kh-25MPU and Kh-58 against SAM and ship-borne radars. So the missile actually hits the antenna (not the ship's hull like they currently do) and it stops transmitting? Good news :D Not yet. Probably in the following patch such capability will have MiG-29S. Good, atleast we can look forward to getting this capability in the near furure :) Such capability for collision exists only for the main debris (fuselage). Does this include the wings? If so that's good enough for me. Yes. For start-up engine and an avionics of Su-25T now it is necessary to switch power on. The parking brake is not implemented. Excellent! Never mind the brake, pretty redundant when all airfields are perfectly flat anyway, I was just wondering. Thanks :)

The ships do not have the separate damage zones while. They do not stop an irradiation before full destruction of the ship. Trident Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 Ah, pity... that's what I meant originally. It'll have to wait for a naval-oriented product I guess. It is a helpful feature to have if you're into attacking ships, killing the radar(s) beforehand makes your life MUCH easier
