Ground Idle v/s Flight Idle... Implemented???

Disregard the post below. After a bit of testing I discovered that the throttle stop is implemented. The problem not reaching 100% is most likely attributed to the AB detent of the Thrustmaster Warthog preventing the throttle levers from reaching max mil power. Filing the detent down a bit helped a little. An adjustable AB detent in the contoller settings in game would be nice though.

OK!

Did you guys forget or are you waiting to implement the "In-flight Idle Throttle Stop"?

With WOW the idle throttle stop would be retracted allowing the engines to idle at lower RPM's, perhaps for flight deck operations. With weight off wheels the throttle stop extends, "providing a higher idle RPM and reduces acceleration time to MIL". Good thing for carrier ops

When I noticed I was never hitting 100% throttle position when in full mil setting:joystick: (TMWH) I did some research in these fine forums and it was discussed that there seemed to be about 10% of missing throttle input from flight idle on up.

Without any adjustments to the throttle curves the engines N2 on the ground would sit about 65-68%, which is within GRND Idle limits, and full mil would sit about 94-96%, which is NOT correct. It's as if the entire throttle curve has been shifted downward. It's not surprising that it seems to take sooooo long to spool up when 5-10% of your movement from FLT idle to MIL is unacknowledged. I messed with the settings a bit and discovered that if I set both throttle axis to "Slider" and set the Saturation Y to 79ish I will get an idle min of somewhere around 71-72% which is within the Flight Idle limits of 68-73% and I would achieve 99-100% at the burner detent, which is just right. So, from what I can tell, there is only one curve. Grnd Indle to 96% or Flit Idle to 100% depending on how one tweaks their settings.

I much prefer to use the higher idle settings as standard (similar to a "16"). The extra 5-6% does seem to help a bit but it would be nice to have the GROUND idle settings kick in with WOW for proper carrier deck handling and immersion.

UPDATE: I've noticed that after adjusting my throttle settings to work better in flight I've now lost the ability to use "throttle cut-off". So, there is a trade-off.

So, what's the word? Is it a bug?

Cheers!

You guys Rock!!!

p.s. The second attachment is just a conversation piece. It seems the throttle response may need a little work in the sim. I seem to recall that it is a known issue though. Skål!
