Hello,

 

I am new on the forum and I wanted to share with you my setup.

Maybe it will give somebody some ideas. I am interested in all criticisms to improve it :)

 

 

 

 

So it is a piece of furniture made of plywood, metal brackets and 3D printed parts. The keyboard can be fixed and there is a surface for a 2nd mouse that I use with the left hand (essential with clickable cockpits). It can be quickly disassembled and stored under the desk.

 

 

 

Next steps :

Finishes (sanding, painting, ...)

Add a rudder pedal system

Find a left handed/ambidextrous mouse

Wait for review of Pimax 5k and switch to VR or buy an ultra wide screen

That's a clever looking setup - tidy, well thought out and good use of space.

 

Only 'criticism' is the position of the speakers - certainly they would sound better positioned towards the listener and lifted up to the ear height? :)
