Weapon release button does not launch amraam

I lock onto a target. Using keyboard I can launch amraam just fine. But it refuses to launch using a key from my brand new X52. Tried many buttons - none will work.

Yes, the buttons all work in windows and they work for other DCS aircraft.

Any ideas folks ?

AMRAAMs (and all the A-A weapons in F/A-18 ) launch with the gun trigger, not weapon release.

 

Is that the problem?
