BlueJacketWarrior Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Hello, I'm trying to use the ADF/TCAN in my F-18 but I have no clue how to find out what the frequencies are/ How am I able to find them? Also how can I find out what airfields are in a specific map?
TechRoss Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 What map are you flying on? If you are in the F10 Map view, you can click on the Airport of Choice to see TACAN info IIRC. I don't think many airports on the PG map have TACAN. For ADF, you can look at the runway, normally near one end you will see a freq, and a hexagon or something like that. That is the ADF. I stand to be corrected but you should be able to use all aircraft on all maps.
BlueJacketWarrior Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 I'm flying on the Nevada map. Allthough I didn't know about the map key. I was looking down at my MFD the entire time.
