franx Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I create a new mission, click on an airport and assign "blue" status, then click on adding a new plane and try to place a unit. Nothing happens. Same with naval units. My mission editor will not allow me to place any units. I must be missing something basic, even after watching a couple of tutorials. Maybe you need to try to start the DCS with empty saved games folder. Try to Rename one of these folders, deletion is not needed: c:\users\username\saved games\dcs.openbeta\MissionEditor c:\users\username\saved games\dcs.openbeta GTX 1070 8GB, 16GB DDR3, W8.1 on SSD, DCS on another SSD

What do you mean "Rename one of these folders . . ." -- to what? I'm running 2.5.4 stable, but I have two folders, one DCS world and one openbeta. Hardcard Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 @franx Delete both dcs.openbeta and dcs folders from there (remember to backup your custom control mappings, missions, etc. if you have any). Rerun DCS, see if the problem persists. If it persists, proceed to a full removal of DCS from your computer (dcs folders from c:\users\username\saved games included), then reinstall it (make sure that you have no antivirus crap running).
