astrosammy Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Is it a normal feature of the INS that the heading is getting inaccurate during turns? I can't really get those landings right because the heading is sometimes off by up to 30° after the break. This happens both on shore and on the carrier, even in the training missions. While flying straight or standing on the ground it slowly realigns. The first image I attached is right after landing and the second a minute later. The track (lovely landing :helpsmilie:) was recorded in Nevada but it also happens in the Caucasus.Heading_error.trk AS365 Dauphin Mechanic
