iRocco Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 How is the proper use of this function? It was added to rather prominent and important place on the stick. Did tomcat pilots use it when they entered a dogfight? Gesendet von meinem SM-G960F mit Tapatalk
jimiC Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I'm guessing but I think it's there to quickly disengage roll and pitch SAS if you enter bfm rapidly Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

It feels more unstable to me or is the turn rate better? Gesendet von meinem SM-G960F mit Tapatalk
Victory205 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 The autopilot disengage paddle switch wasn't used in ACM. The Roll SAS only was turned off before maneuvering. Roll SAS exacerbated departure from controlled flight tendancies. Pitch SAS was left on at all times. Yaw SAS isn't affected by the paddle switch and is a gated switch that is left on at all times. The paddle switch was used to disengage the autopilot in an emergency when the damned thing wouldn't disengage for some reason. Fly Pretty, anyone can Fly Safe.

Out of interest why does the Pitch and Roll SAS disengage when you use the paddle in the sim? Is this correct or a bug?
