Sledge Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I have searched the forums and I have not seen anyone post about this before. Scenario: I created a basic mission to practise mid air refuelling. I set the tanker to fly a basic route (@3000m), so that you have plenty of time to hook up before it changes to next SPT or Lands. I hosted this mission from my PC (not dedi) and had 3 players join via IP. Assets: 4 x F-15, 1 x E-3 AWACS, 1 x KC-10 Tanker Situation 1: Host moves into position for refuel. I get normal tanker indications ie./ clear contact and can see the boom extended. I hook up and take on fuel. At this stage the other players reported that they saw me under the tanker, however could not see the boom extended. I was defineatley taking on fuel as the gauge was counting up. Host then breaks from tanker and sets up on starboard wing tip of KC-10. Situation 2: The other player then attempt to refuel. No.2 approaches the tanker and does not hear "clear contact" and cannot see the boom extended (Host was asked to verify if he could see the boom down and it was defineatly not down). No.2 maneuveured below the tanker and at no stage did he get any indication that the tanker knew he was there. Has anyone seen this before and is there a fix for it? It seems strange that in MP, only the host can perform an A-A refuel. P.S. I noticed an error on the F-15 RPM Gauge. If you look at the gauge ingame it says its a PRM gauge :doh: . No biggy :)

Most everyone calls it a bug, but not really as I don't recall the Devs ever said that refuelling would work in MP. I've read folks on the Forums say that if clients get really really close then they can see the basket at the last second and refuel when in Russian jets, dont know if the same for US jets.
