[BUG] Can't get padlock view working in the F-14

Hey Guys, I was just prepping my secondary rig with the F-14 so a buddy can come over and fly as pilot in my VR setup and I can fly as RIO on my secondary rig. I don't have TIR on my second rig so I tend to use hat switch to look around (sad I know) and in cockpit Padlock view to padlock aircraft and ground targets etc. I've used it a fair amount in the F-18 with ok results considering we are just having fun doing coop missions. Aaaaanyway long story short I can't seem to get padlock to work in the F-14, using the exact same keybinding I use in the F-18 padlock seems completely inoperable in the F-14. I've even setup a mission with an F-18 and F-14 available as "client" and If I spawn in the 18 padlock works, and then if I spawn in the 14 seconds later in the same mission it doesn't. I've double and triple checked my key bindings and they are the same so I'm thinking it just doesn't work with the F-14 for some reason. Can anybody else confirm this and make sure I'm not going mad?
