hawk2495 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) Okay, I know the title is a bit vague. My apologies, but I wasn't sure how to word it in a short manner. So, what I'm doing is working on my first mission using triggers. Yep, been playing DCS since 2010 and just now digging into triggers.... lol So, I have two Blufor air groups. One is an F-14B with a single AI wingman whose task is to intercept an incoming flight of SU-24s that are meant to engage the Stennis The second is an F/A-18C with an AI wingman tasked with the destruction of some transport planes at an airfield. Both leads are currently set to client so I can choose what part of the mission I want to fly. Is there any way I can have the mission change the slot I don't choose to AI so they can run through that portion of the mission in parallel to me? Or will I have to create a separate AI group with similar tasks to be triggered at a certain point? Edited April 3, 2019 by hawk2495 Why is the rum always gone!?!?!?!
Cobra747 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 I dont know of any way to change an aircraft to spawn in as AI if it was tasked as Client. I'd say go with the second option you mentioned. You would need to place four groups in instead of two. Two F-14s where one has a client the the other an identical group but with lead as an AI and the same for the F/A-18 groups. Then create a trigger so that if you spawn in the F-14 it triggers the AI F-18 group and visversa. Under conditions you could use "Unit Alive" and under Actions "Group activate" Dont forget to put the tick in "Late activation" on the AI groups. Good luck
hawk2495 Posted April 3, 2019 Author Posted April 3, 2019 Thanks for the reply. It looks like that's the direction I'm going to have to take. It would be cool if there was something in the ME that could do what I'm looking for, but it's not a huge deal. This has actually been a fun little venture. I even ended up getting my butt kicked by my own mission during testing.. I must be doing something right.lol Cheers! Why is the rum always gone!?!?!?!
