DCS FIGHTER PILOT Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 I am very happy to see that most of the missiles in DCS have received quite the overhaul. Missiles no longer, (unless distracted by countermeasures,) make CRAZY maneuvers that kill all of their energy at once. Though this is a big improvement, there is still a bit of a way to go. In the future I am hoping to see more parabolic flight patterns that gives the Missile a tremendous potential energy advantage over its target. I would also like to see the drag coefficients dialed down just a touch to give each missile just that much more HOOF! What are your thoughts on this people?
David OC Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 drag coefficients relating to.... Most of the fixes are from cfd modeling, so the coefficients should be ballparkish. I ran into this site online recently https://www.simscale.com/projects/ that allows uses to use cloud computing to test cfd's. https://www.simscale.com/projects/Ali_Arafat/compressible_aerodynamics_of_commercial_aircraft/ i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing.
