dores893 Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 GBU-38 and GBU-31 (all varients) cause DCS open beta to CTD when depressing the weapon release button using PP mode (any quantity). This was an earlier problem that was fixed and is now broken again.
dores893 Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 JDAM CTD IN MULTIPLAYER SERVER ONLY REPRODUCABLE IN MULTIPLAYER ONLY: This is NOT REPEATABLE in a single player game created with the mission editor. This only happens on a multiplayer server, and then it happens 100% of the time. Please try on a multiplayer server.
TheBamse Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I was very able to drop about 16 GBU-38's yesterday on our own server running 2.5.4.30386 both on clients and server using PP MAN mode, using nVidia driver v430.64 I think more details are needed, because de-facto; it's not a general openbeta issue otherwise it would happen to me/us also.
dores893 Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) We are using the same open beta and drivers. Edited May 16, 2019 by dores893
dores893 Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Please mark this issue closed. Historically, when you have a MP only issue that works fine in single player, it is a de-facto DCS issue. Starting with the simple, I remapped the weapon release button. I then tried to drop two GBU-31s on two different MP servers (the one where I had four repeats of the CTD) and another server. Neither drop caused a CTD.
Theranthil Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 We just had the same issue on MP tonight. CTD as soon as I pickled in MP. I was hosting.
dores893 Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Maybe I spoke too soon. Try remapping your weapon release button and see if that does anything. Also make sure you are using the same drivers and open beta as referenced above.
dores893 Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Okay, there is definately more going on here than we realize. I went back to the same MP server to drop four GBU-31's in quantities of two. The first release was flawless. The second release on the second target caused a CTD. I'm going to drop some more GBUs tonight, and I encourage everyone to do the same and report back your results.
