Wire not releasing on carrier on Caucasus Map

Trapping on the Stennis Carrier. The wire will not turn loose after landing. It happens on all wires (1-4). Yes, I know if you come in wrong or don't go to Mil Power for 4 sec, it might hang on you. But, it happens on every single trap.

 

On the PG Map I have not problem whatsoever.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I’ve been snagged a few times on Caucasus map. Come to think of it, never on PG map. I also noticed that if you raise the hook to soon it will snag also.

Yes, that will happen also. But, I wait till it stop pulling me back and still cannot release hook from cable.

If you're using afterburner on the trap it should snap you back like a rubber band, and the tension comes off the wire so you can retract the hook.

The only times I got stuck is when I didn't go into AB and I kept the tension on the jet. In those cases, I just lit the cans for a second or two and got the snap back, and the cable dropped.

 

If you're still having issues, then I'd recommend a repair/reinstall.

Thanks Halcyon for the info. I always go Mil power and have not any problems until a couple of days ago. I will try your suggestions and see if that works. Thanks again.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't proper procedure to only go to mil when touchdown? I thought I saw something like using max can cause problems like extreme vibration or engine damage?
