VR hands at odd angle to controllers

Hey guys. Does anyone know of any way (other VROpenInputEmulator) to adjust the position of the DCS hands relative to the tracked VR controller?

 

Maybe a way to modify the files in DCS or something? VROIE works but it's been abandoned so it's likely to stop working before too terribly long and then I'll be stuck.

 

Seems really dumb that neither SteamVR nor DCS has the ability to adjust the virtual hand position.
