Supertaquito Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Hey all, I'm running a server from the same machine I play DCS on. I have a couple of friends who use the default SU-25T, the MiG-29, F-15C, F-18, and F-14. We would like to be able to see our custom skins when we all play on the blue side, or corresponding side. I read we all need to have the skins, but it is not clear to me where those should be installed? If I don't have the same modules they do, do I need to create folders for them, and what should the path be? Thanks for the help!
Grimes Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 In saved games create a livery folder and then have folders for each aircraft you have liveries for and place the livery files in there. Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet\VFC-13 For the server itself if you have missions you want certain aircraft to start with a given livery you have to install it also. However on the server you only need the description.lua files as the textures don't matter for it. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. When it comes to the installing it on the server, does that mean it's only necessary if you intend to start to the mission with said livery, but you still get to change it from the ground crew menu and other will see it?
