Weta43 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Hi, I recently got an X-52 & am using it's throttle alongside my MSFFB2. I've set the 'zoom' on the HDD to one of the rotaries. It seems to work fine except that once I lock a target (STT) sometimes the green cone representing the radar beam flickers around to the side of the target & back. The lock doesn't break, but the picture of the beam moving is disturbing.. Anyone had a similar experience to this? Cheers.
Black_Hawk Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Known issue with X52 rotaries, they are sending spiky signals and that's why you get that flickering. Set bands for zooming in/out, do a search ("step-by-step procedure..."), you'll find a thread where I explained how to make bands with Saitek hardware. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Weta43 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 I tried the visual zoom on the rotaries & found they spiked so I stopped using them for that. I'm not sure that this is from 'spikes' as the MFD / HDD range scale doesn't change and the radar cone's length doesn't change & the target doesn't move, just the green cone representing the radar beam's angle - as if the radar were being slewed to the side, , ( & this is on another control ( hat switch )) so the radar cone isn't pointing at the target, but the lock isn't lost .... Cheers.
