Hey Folks,

Busy making skins for the F-16, and i have a question for the experienced skinners.

How do You add the shading to a tailcode/serial number/wing number, and any idea what the correct distance is between the black/grey lettering and the "shadow".

Right now i shade the lettering by looking at what looks good, and using photoshop, dropshadow set to 40 degrees (one side of course), distance 15, spread 19, color white.

Then manually add the missing bits (red circles)

But i imagine there must be a way to avoid the manual work :) anyone know?.

Thanks.

You could do this with 2 layers. One in black and one in white...
