A HUD may display garbled info, an airspeed or altitude indicator mai go wild, a gyro may fail indicating yu're banked 45 dergees whilst wou're flying level, a generator may fail, or others... What about missiles getting stuck on the rails, or jammed guns? Any chances of something like that in the near future? Octav

No idea if other systems are modelled with similar detail, would be very nice. As for false read-outs, the RWR in Flanker2.5 would do that when damaged (not sure about LOMAC). It certainly fooled me more than once, although only for a short time as the bearing would not change no matter what I did. It was a nice little feature though.

Actually, if you have some power and an operating weapons system, you might still be able to launch some fire and forget weapons. But there should be a randomization factor at least - an exploding missile might cut some cables from the cockpit to the wing pylons, denying the launch, or power may fail completely, ant there are a lot of things that can go wrong after being hit, denying the launch of a missile (even unguided).
