maxTRX Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Recently I (and few others) had to resort to alternate ways of launching from the boat. I always have the wind over deck between 28 - 30 knots (lined up with BRC) and lots of times my Hornet's back end shifts sideways after the cat hookup and possibly causing cat "suspend". My launch bar issues were described in another thread that I started few days ago. I'm certain lots of folks here operate from a moving carrier and should be aware of these issues. For now... I don't even waste my time on going to any of the catapults. Flaps full, trim ~17, taxi to the ramp, point the nose at the bow, full blowers and I'm doing 135 kts past the bow (4 mavs + Tpod on board) while listening to "hold position" calls from the tower. High hopes for tomorrow? :music_whistling:
