I just noticed that the minigun won't harm tents, don't know what else.

The minigun uses the ammunition configuration provided by ED. We are currently working on enhancing the weapons, amongst other things, by creating our own ammunition. When it comes to damage against certain objects, like tents, it’s not always the munition to blame though. The “armour” system for objects and vehicles is a bit sketchy at best but is said to be improved in the (near?) future.
