aegis53 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Greetings, Not sure if this has been raised before but I can find no reference to it in the forums. When viewing any Airfield Information details via map pressing F10, clicking the Airfield name etc the Runway length information is referenced in "M" wherein it should be actually "F" for Feet. E.g. Persian Gulf Map - Al Dhafra Airbase shows as "11403 m" in length, which when you apply the correct meter to feet the conversion would actually be 37411 feet of there about's. The same applies to Abu Dhabi, Al Minhad and Dubai incorrectly reported as Metric Meter's for length data whereas the number referenced appears to be approximate Feet. Airfield length data can actually be checked from any of the many on-line databases. E.G. https://www.world-airport-codes.com/united-arab-emirates/al-dhafra-military-24.html Verifies the Al Dhafra length as 12,012 feet (not 11403 meters or 37411 feet.) 12,012 Feet is actually 3661 Meters. See attached images for Al Dhafra Air Base, Al Minhad and Dubai International AP. All show an approximate length in feet, but is referenced as "M" for metres. Just thought I'd point this out on the off chance it has actually been missed somehow...... Assume Caucasus maps are also using the wrong unit of measurement. Not sure if this is a table or graphical error in DCS or because of any imperial or metric settings applied to the Windows 10 operating system. I am using Windows 10 Pro Regardsal dhafra.bmp
