Texture bug on the cat at longer view range

Hi Guys!

 

Long time lurker, first time poster etc.

 

I was making some skins for the cat and noticed that the textures disappeared when I zoomed out a sufficient distance. See comparison shots attached. It's not entirely obvious with the normal cats because it's a grey skin to grey texture, but with the chrome cat and any brightly coloured skin it stands out.

 

Version is 2.5.6.43931, repeatable by zooming out sufficiently on any tomcat. Graphics settings didn't appear to affect it, although I didn't turn textures below high. Image 7 is a comparison with a hornet zoomed out much further - you can still make out the red tails. Images 8 and 9 show what I _think_ might be causing the bug, as the last LOD model has no texture applied. Your Viggen still shows up fine in the modelviewer at the furthest LOD, and the hornet is similarly ok, although with a texture bug.

 

Tried with all mods cleared. Cleared fxo and metashaders. Had a friend test on his install (repeatable). Made a pentagram and asked a demon for help (too costly).

 

Overall though, minor issue, and only really affects spotting over water in some edge cases and spotting the brightly coloured lead aircraft I'm trying to rejoin on.
