Laer Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Odd thing happened, and I'm hoping someone might have a theory on what might have caused it. (More of a curiousity than a 'code red' here...) I had my Comm1 radio set to ATC, and Comm2 set to a nav beacon, and I'm flying around. I had Comm1's volume up, and Comm2's volume down to almost off (as I was getting squelch noise, and it seems like the squelch filter is bugged... or something). I talk to ATC, and their response is VERY faint. After trying a few things, I tried bringing up the Comm2 volume... and now their voice is proper volume. Yet, why is it seemingly on Comm2, when the ATC frequency is set on Comm1? Comm2 should have been dialed up to a nav beacon, but I think it wasn't locked in, as I wasn't getting morse code, and was just getting the squelch noise... yet, the Comm2 volume seemed to control the volume of the ATC, which should have been coming from Comm1. Theories? (...I'm still battling with the Hornet radio. I understand all the tutorial vids I've seen, but things just don't seem to work the same in my own jet. Must be some setting or aspect that is different between the vids and mine.)
