effect Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) Need some help, I am in the process of building a full simpit and need some feedback on a good aspect ratio and monitor size Requirements: Minimum 4 feet away from display G-Sync enabled Low Latency Good visibility in daylight Optimal FOV Other technologies: Projector I am aware the best setup for maximizing FOV is using a projector but I would need a screen and it would also probably be inadequate for daylight gaming. VR I don't want to use a VR headset because I can't stand the screen door effect and they aren't high enough resolution for what I'd like to see Current idea 1x 16:9 55" AW5520QF OLED center monitor 2x 16:9 34" OLED periphery monitors (rotated sideways to match height of 55") Alternatives 1x 16:9 27" Center monitor 2x 21:9 32" AW3418DW periphery monitors To my knowledge there aren't any gaming monitors larger than 55" but I have heard of TV's with a "game mode" but no G-Sync I am leaning toward the 55" route because of the additional vertical FOV would appear lend itself to more situational awareness and immersion. I'm curious if anyone else is using this or a similar size and what your thoughts are on it Thoughts or suggestions about these options or potentially better alternatives would be very helpful, thanks Edited May 3, 2020 by effect
effect Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I will also be using the TrackIR if that factors into the FOV equation
