Black Aces Conduct Carrier Operations Training

Subsequent to the squadron's recent transfer to the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), the Black Aces of VFA-41 conducted squadron-wide training exercises to familiarize pilots with the ship's launch and recovery procedures. Exercises were carried out in accordance with the squadron's newly promulgated Carrier Operations manual. LT Raid, the squadron's Training Officer, managed development of the manual and oversaw the training exercises, reporting that launch & recovery operations were accomplished smoothly and that the squadron is ready to continue with missions in support of Operation Tomb Fist.
