Keys assigned in one part of DCS world dont transfer to other areas

Hi, not sure if this a problem on my setup, but when I assign keys to my X-56 HOTAS in the training area, they have to be reasigned if I enter the mission editor or quick missions. Is this normal or just me again?:doh:
