WWII FAC

I am trying to use an infantryman as a FAC on the Normandy map. I have placed him up on a rooftop with commands to be a FAC, invisable and immortal. I also gave him an ROE of weapons Hold once I saw him plinking away at the tanks! First time, I assigned him a FM freq of 40.00 but he would not answer me on that. I then gave him a VHF freq of 133.00 and got him to answer. He is in fairly close proximity to a bunch of enemy tanks and he responds appropriately indicating that the enemy is marked by WP, which they are not, and then asks me to let him know when I'm ready for remarks and further talk on. When I respond that I am ready to copy, he clams up and never responds again.

 

 

I have the date set to 6 June, 1944. I am flying in the P-47 with the radio channels properly set. Is there something that I am missing?

I tried a similar setup, P47, Normandy, FAC, Tanks. all I can get is " No further tasking available "With the FAC on unarmed trucks , everything thing works fine. So maybe just a vehicle type issue.

In first test, I changed the tank to a halftrack and got the results that I was looking for - a complete FAC response to include smoke. Next test was to add additional vehicles (tanks) to the halftrack group and was told there was nothing for me here, go on home! In another test, I had an assembly area filled with several armor and arty units but had the FAC set to engage a single truck. He began calling me in but when asked if I was ready for remarks and further talk-on, he clammed right the heck up! Very frustrating! I am pretty sure that it is something that I am doing wrong and I just can't seem to be able to figure it out.....yet. :joystick:

One more thing, I have been getting these same results with a WWII soldier OR the Modded Willis Jeep from Suntsag's mod.
