FA-18 Light over Jett Selection/IFEI too bright in NVG mode w/VR

Is their a way to turn off the light illuminating the Jettison Selection/IFEI section of the FA-18? While using NVG and VR headset, it is virtually impossible to read items in that portion of the dash.

Turn on NVG mode switch, it's outboard on the right console

 

Then turn brightness knob way down on the IFIE panel
