I've got the FA-18C_b_beta profile (v1.4.2020.0530) mostly sorted out. The profile loads using OvGME.

But I can only see the left and right DDI's (MFD's) and AMPCD (center MFD) in the viewports.

The backup RWR, UFC and IFEI displays don't show anything. The ADI, altimeter, airspeed, and VSI all work, and I can click the buttons that control the DDI's, so I know the script is communicating.

Any ideas on why those three viewports aren't displaying?

The top monitor is the HELIOS panel.

I am not sure if you created the viewports in your profile for the UFC, IEFI or RWR based on what you wrote. The IEFI is the worst of the lot my x coordinate was around 45 to start and much wider than expected. If you followed the Capt Zeen install video he only shows how to do a couple viewports not all of them.

Are you saying I have to create the viewports myself in the F18_b_beta.hpf profile that Capt. Zeen created? Or are you asking whether I calculated the positions of the UFC, IFEI, and RWR viewports and updated the lua file?

I did the latter. Maybe the coordinates I found when I did a screenshot for those three are wrong? They would have to be very wrong.

As for the former, when I open the profile in 'Profile Editor' I see transparency in all the viewport panels.

Did you happen to save the image file you used to calculate your X,Y coordinates? It would be really helpful if you could edit it with boxes around the viewports that are working for you and post it here.

Here's mine...

Help with a HELIOS problem?

I have a custom layout currently so my viewports won’t work for you. I have used Capt Zeens video with great success in the last couple months so his instruction is still valid.

What do you see on your second monitor when you start DCS using the OVGME monitor profile while not starting the Helios overlay? What should happen is that you see the viewports that you created but no artwork or backup instruments. Doing this should help you determine if the data is there and being covered by the Helios overlay.

For the RWR ensure you turn it on. It is off by default in some of the instant action missions.

Thanks. without the profile turned on I only see data from the left/right MFD's and the AMPCD. Is there another lua file I need to edit to get the data from the other panels? Capt. Zeen's tutorial only mentioned needing to edit the 2_monitors_FA18C.lua.

I couldn't find anything in the Controls list regarding the RWR. I searched for 'Radar' and 'RWR' and didn't any power switch commands. I will review the manual for the location of a clickable button. Thanks for that tip.

I’ll send you my email in a pm so you can send me your .lua file or you can try to post it here. We will get it sorted out.

ALR-67 RWR is at the top of the photo. Right button for on left most button to get a test signal after it gets warmed up.23ad534828fd3e4787ba86c16c15f0b8.jpg
