planelov Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Whether 3D or 2D, if there are many objects that the game needs to represent on the screen, the frame value will drop, and if there are few, the frame number will rise. However, in DCS World, when moving the viewpoint from the outside view of the fighter, if the viewpoint is moved so that the sky side without clouds or nothing is visible instead of the terrain with many objects, the frame will drop to 60. Then, if you move the viewpoint so that the terrain with lots of objects is visible, the frame rises beyond 130. when the frame is high, the CPU usage rate is 15-20% and the graphics card load rate is 97-99%. When the frame drops to 60, the CPU usage rate drops to 6~7%, and the graphic load rate drops to about 20~50% Ryzen 5 3600 / msi b450m mortar max / RX 5700 XT / 16gb
Worrazen Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 There's a lot of factors, it's just normal that the FPS will be variable. You would need to do a proper performance diagnosis to better confirm this whether you simply are viewing and doing something that does not require much CPU resources at the time and observational/interpretational mistakes, or has some would really be some kind of a bug/inoptimization that does not properly feed the CPU and/or GPU with enough work.
