sandman330 Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Hi All I was thinking the other day at work how I can make our A10c experience that little bit more realistic its totally up to you but I think since the game is quite involved, why not go that little step further. With my job,I am able to access a website called 'Jeppesen' (whether you guys have heard of this company in the aviation world) but its a company that produces what we call Approach Plates or charts which give a very detailed diagrammatic and textual information about a particular approach procedure If we fly a mission during the day in VMC then its ok as we can fly visual approaches however in a cloudy environment (low cloud/fog/low visibility) and at night,we fly these approaches to let us get down safely, to avoid CFIT (controlled flight into terrain)We use these approach charts everyday in the airline/instrument flight world and I think it would be really cool to employ them here! Let me know what you think. Cheers SANDMAN
sandman330 Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 Sorry guys I could only get Tbilisi main airport.... anyhow your all welcome to the charts. If I can get the rest I will.
CADelta Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Absolutely great stuff buddy  It all started to make perfect sense after you explained a bit the other night. And it all seems to be very valuable information on those hard ILS landings, witch by the way I have finally nailed completely after your supreme instruction flight the same night :pilotfly: So Glenn buddy, you have my deepest thanks. The SIM Experience is getting so much more realistic and fun when you are with us :smilewink: /Krycek = CAD = Krycek [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I try to save a life a day. Usually it's my own!
sandman330 Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 Krycek, Its my pleasure to pass on whatever i can to help make this simulator experience that bit more real. For those other airports without charts yet, maybe we can just make up a basic descent procedure to establish ourselves on the ILS. Any how i should be up and flying towards the end of the month once i have all the new toys. All the best Sandman
BOS Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Hi Sandman Great with more realism- a shame that approach charts is not available. I found this link, where one can download a lot of interessting chart and figures on the airfields: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1193082&postcount=1 Blue skies and happy landings BOS
sandman330 Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 Hi BOS, Thanks for the link! I will have a good look to see what they have. Cheers Sandman
sandman330 Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Hey guys, I downloaded those charts, they are great, all we need is some approach charts and we are set. Anyhow at least we can refer to these charts and for sure the flying will be easier. Thanks for the link BOS Sandman
