A squadron Member trying to get back up & running... from our forums:

 

Saitek x52 & dual core & lomac

 

ok when i start up game and fly with out a x52 profile game runs fine. when i load a profile to my x52, game stutters. (large freezez of 2-5 seccconds or more) so what do i have to do to get her going smoothly for lomac?

 

windows xp 64bit

am2 x2 6000 (dual core)

4 gig ram

bfg 8800 gt 512mb oc

newest x52 drivers & software (64bit)

 

 

(reply)I'm not sure if it is the case anymore but at one point you needed to set the processor affininty so that it doesn't try to use both cores to run LOMAC. There is an app called procaff to do that but I think I heard that AMD has its own app

 

 

It only stutters like that when i run the x52 profiler. W/O the profiler it runs smooth.

 

I ran a cpu affinity prog i found on toms hardware and set the x52 as the other cpu and it worked.. but it may of been a fluke. i will have to test at more length.

 

I also changed from full screen to windowed. so we will see. As i have more time today i set up a chair and put my track ir dots on my mic and ... the game runs smooth with..

windowed mode, and saitek x52.

 

But track ir- stutters.

 

I run fullscreen mode- the game stutters

 

I run windowed or full screen with out x52 profile game runs smooth track ir runs smooth.

 

Run procaff with loamc, lomac runs weird. there is a noticeable delay in keystrokes. and track ir stutters - this is in windowed

 

Run procaff with lomac in fullscreen and lomac game has huge 5 second freezes
