Strange fps problem in vista64

here is a nice issue....

I have mostly moved over to Vista since some of

my programs run more efficient there. However

here is a new problem for me. I get 5-10 fps in lockon

 

Other more demanding games run fine (crysis, Age of Conan beta)

However lockon is a no-go

I just installed Lo, FC 1.1, then Fc 1.12B

System hardware is :

 

c2d@3.2 GHz

9800gx2 (forcing single gpu makes no diff) 175.63

4 gig ram

xfi gamer w latest drivers dated april 14th

vista64 business

 

I have set all settings in nv panel to lowest for LO

and all settings inside lo lowest as well, game still

hickups 5-10 fps. Any ideas? Computer is newly formatted btw.

 

in xp I run the same mission(quick mission f-15) get 100 fps with almost maxed out settings?
