skunk160 Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I asked this on another forum and wondered what the answer would be in DCS, I know of all the dynamic missions, played or tried them all. But its nearly always too many units etc for good FPS in VR, I'm thinking more along the lines of those but only units spawn relevant to me in my general area "Are there any Dynamic missions I mean missions where random ground/air op-for are spawned say by flying through a trigger zone and a random selection of op-for are spawned in different locations relatively near by, so you go up for your usual CAP and depending on which trigger you trip and what random selection is made it could be a 20 plane furball off in the distance or AAA spring up all around you, or a tank battle appears raging beneath you or absolutely nothing happens but the tension of SH** could go down at anytime anywhere" skunk160 | Win10 PRO 64bit | i7-4770K 3.50 GHz | 32GB DDR3/1866MHz | GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 x2 | Oculus Rift S | Virpil MongoosT-50CM2 | Virpil F-14B grip | Virpil 200m Curved Extension | PointCTRL | Delta Sim TM Slew | Sim Bandit AHCP | MFG Crosswind Pedals | //FOX2 Switch Boxes | RECARO SPG Seat | AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro Bass Transducer x2 //FOXTWO Multi-Role Combat Pit Build http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134745
ataribaby Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Hi, I am just working on semi random dynamic campaign for Syria and F-18 + supper carrier. In vanilla DCS campaign format, no need to enable scripting or tweaks like that. I have same problem as you described and as I am in VR as well, designing campaign with VR in mind. I will let you know if i have something for test if you are interested. It will be CAS with JTAC over Syria stuff. As F-18 can accept JTAC Grid coords and it is awesome. You can also try this series https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.c...files/3063233/ or series from this guy https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305955/ maybe it will satisfy your needs. it can be cahnged for lower unit count to be ok in VR.
