WytchCrypt Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 (edited) Hi all, I've reviewed the entire sticky "Tutorial: Introduction to Lua Scripting" thread and it seems promising, but before I head down that rabbit hole I thought it wise to determine if my goal is even possible... Simply put, is there a way to capture a keyboard entry, test what key was pressed and display a message on screen? For example, I'm flying the Su-33 which has a non clickable cockpit and therefore no clickabledata.lua file (which means the existing X:Cockpit Argument in Range() conditional unfortunately doesn't work...spent 2 days down that rabbit hole :smilewink: Is there a way through lua scripting that I can capture pressing the "T" key, and display a simple "You have enabled wingtip smoke" message? I'm thinking it would be a matter of tapping into the event handler and listening for that "T" key but don't know if that's possible. Thanks! Edit: I can't believe I called it "Lui" in the thread title not "Lua"...and I can't edit it...oh well  Edited November 10, 2020 by WytchCrypt Alienware Area-51M: i7-9700K, 165Hz 27" ASUS Swift PG279 IPS with G-SYNC, 32GB DDR4 Ram, 1TB M.2 PCie x4 SSD, 1TB SSHD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6, Windows 10, CH Eclipse...
