Hard time recenter the TPOD at night?

Im having a hard time to recenter the TPOD especially at night time. What is the problem here? When i put the right mfcd at INS it centers perfectly when i press undesignate and it can slave to waypoints. But when im in TPOD it wont center, it works sometimes. I just dont know if its a bug or what?
