Southernbear Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I originally thought since downloading DCS onto my new PC that it was some option that was on by default to help forgetful pilots at low speed high AOA but after testing the F-14B it doesn't happen. In my F-14A when I get slow and pull high AOA the engines automatically up their RPM on their own to 97% or so. I am aware of the F-14's Auto throttle feature for landing but it was my understanding that not only does it have to be activated with throttle mode switch being set to Auto but also other secondary things such as the gear being out for it to work. So is this a bug? a setting in the options which for whatever reason only effects the F-14A? or does the F-14A have this feature IRL which I was not aware of?
r4y30n Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Minimum RPM is governed by the Mach lever on the TF30s and it will increase both at high AoA and at high speed.
