I might have found a bug, but unsure, if this is a feature or not.

when switching around in the TPOD, from area, point and snowplow mode, for some reason the snowplow mode would be stuck in place.

So in the video you can see, when i switch back to snowplow i am able to move the TPOD, until i release it, then it will be stuck again, and it repeated itself multiple times, after some time it simply worked again and i could move it around.

I tried switching to FLIR white hot, black hot, zoom in out, wide, narrow, but could not really find a reason why or how.

I am also unable to replicate it.

I have attached the track file, i hope that will be of some use, the "incident" occured on my approach back to the carrier fleet, so you will be able to simply fast forward.

(the trackfile is to big to drop in here, so i will share a google drive link)

You can only slew the TPOD in STABILIZED SNOWPLOW mode (when the indicator is a diamond).  When it's a + (big or small) or 2 vertical bars you can't slew it.  Designed behaviour.

I understand that, that is not the issue here.

It might be hard to see but i delivered a video with it, when i switch around between modes.

As mentioned, it allows me to move when switching back to operational mode, then when i stop moving it is stuck again.

Those modes you describe are point track and area track, i was in neither of those when i tried and move around.

My apologies.  I should have looked at the video rather than assuming 😳.  What do you have the controls for the TDC slew assigned to?  That looks like it's assigned the key binding rather than the axis binding and the key is firing once and not repeating, most of the time when it's held down OR if you have it programed to something you need to lengthen the time it's held for (it's flashing briefly to what it would if you were slewing it properly rather than switching and staying that symbology).  Try the actual physical keyboard keys (default is comma/period) and see if they work.  If you tap one of them rapidly (assuming you haven't changed the bindings) you'll see the same as your video.  Not sure that explains why it's intermittent like your video, but hopefully gives you a starting point.  Keypresses in DCS can act in weird ways sometimes.  I took control in your track after takeoff and it worked for me.

Hey mate,

thanks for responding.

I have it assigned to a axis key, and used it with no issues at all for a long time, this was a 1 time occurance, you can see at the end of the video that it works again, which raised my suspision even more that this is a bug and is not how it should be.

The reason why i included the track, is because if someone would like to try and replicate this issue, they could potentially find something in there.

As stated above, in my first post, the incident happened once i returned to the carrier group.
